Understanding the PPM 'Mechanics'
The Science Behind the Appliance
You might think the PPM sounds like magic. It is. Magic backed by decades worth of research, education and evaluation.

You are still a little skeptical. You are asking yourself, so really, a mouth guard can really accomplish all that? It can improve strength and endurance. It can increase flexibility. It can enhance power and strength and really modify my overall fitness level. Really – a mouth guard? Not sure if I believe it . . . .
Fair enough. Let us explain.
We’ve determined the Pure Power Mouthguard (PPM) is not your typical, undistinguished, mouth guard. Over 4 decades of science, exploration and neuromuscular developments have been reduced down to refine the PPM. A certified-PPM dentist concludes the best possible jaw position through a computerized footprint of your jaw. Using complex computer technology that tracks every movement of your jaw – down to the millimeter – your mouth guard is adapted and personalized to your unique requirements.
Once your guard is tailored to your specific jaw requirements, it can unleash its magic. The magic arrives in the form of re-aligned muscles. By helping properly align and relax muscles in your face, you will see an increase in your muscle management and in the positioning of your vertebrae. The result: a boost in your balance, power, range of motion, flexibility and overall core muscle strength. We dare to pose the question – have any of your other mouth guards accomplished all that?
Still – I am not sure I completely grasp this concept. How is my flexibility and overall strength improved by wearing a mouth guard?
A majority of individuals suffer from a condition referred to as TMJ. Basically, this means the muscles in your jaw, neck and face are constantly stressed and tense. The mouth guard has been intentionally calculated to fit your jaw specifications so the moment you put the guard in your mouth, your jaw automatically finds its proper and perfect bite. Because of this, your facial muscles relax, the stress is alleviated and your muscles have more energy – now that they aren’t working so hard holding your muscles in place. At this point, you body is working purposely and by design.
Mouthguards. The familiar and not-so-familiar science behind them.
You wear a mouth guard for protection. They protect the obvious – your jaw, your teeth, your face. They also protect your neck and head and all the muscles and joints that surround and connect these areas. Without a mouth guard, a jolt to your face shoots shock waves through to your skull.
A serious blow can crack your front teeth, aggravate your entire mouth and a more dramatic hit can smash your jaws together, causing major damage. When your bottom teeth are knocked into your upper teeth, they can be punctured and pushed forward. A severe hit can result in a fractured jaw or in a concussion.

A mouth guard absorbs the majority of the impact and disperses the force of the blow over a larger area and over a larger amount of time. This lessens the impact of the hit and significantly decreases or prevents injury.
When your jaw is aligned appropriately, your head and neck muscles aren’t as labored. Everything is in
a more agreeable position which results in your body operating more powerfully - achieving the balance it was designed for. You find yourself more resilient, more astute, more efficient. You run faster, climb harder, hit more accurately – and ultimately, win more.
When you are not operating on all cylinders, your body it quick to tire, to experience fatigue and to see a decrease in stamina. Your physical potential and capabilities are interfered with. You’ll immediately notice improvements the instant you bite down on your PPM. No more exhaustion. No more fatigue. You will only experience intensification in your strength, your endurance, your balance.

Give this little test a try.
Take a stab at this. Place your pinky fingers, pads of your fingers facing forward, gently in your ear canals. Move your fingers forward, just slightly. Now, open and close your mouth
. Do you feel anything? Hear anything abnormal? Do you notice any clicking, grinding or popping? If you answered‘yes’ to any of these things, chances are you can benefit from the PPM.
Establishing Your TMJ
Odds are you have heard of TMJ. Greater odds that you have no idea where it is or what it is. The truth is – it’s essential in concluding whether or not your body is functioning properly.
TMJ stands for Temporomandibular Joint. Basically, this is your jaw joint. To find it, draw an imaginary line from the middle of your ear until you are directly under your cheekbone. When you open and close your mouth, you can feel the movement of your jaw. It’s connected right there to your skull and that’s known as your TMJ.
Your TMJ is the most complex joint in your entire body, connecting your jawbone to your skull. TMD is a disorder that occurs when there is an imbalance between your jaw, skull and the muscles attaching them. Because of this imbalance, your muscles experience spasms which ultimately create a misalignment of your jaw joints.
More than magic. More than protection. The PPM is more than just a mouth guard.

The Pure Power Mouthguard is not your universal, ordinary mouth guard. The PPM provides protection and enhances your performance. In addition, it reduces pressure and stress on your neck, jaw, back, head and all connecting muscles and joints. An additional benefit? The added power, balance, strength, endurance, agility and flexibility associated with it.
When science meets function, it creates a distinct advantage. An advantage you deserve to have. An advantage over your competition, your rival, your opponent. You already train hard. Now it’s your turn to find out how the PPM can help you train successfully. Improve your endurance, strength and balance. Find out how science can give you the advantage.
